Castle Hill Village is approximately 90km west of Christchurch, Canterbury, a little over an hours drive from Christchurch International Airport on SH73.
SH73 is one of the main State Highways crossing the South Island of New Zealand, and as such, the road contractors endeavour to keep it open in the winter as much as possible.
The nearest supermarket is at Darfield, and the nearest service station for fuel to the east is at Springfield and to the west at Arthur’s Pass. The best pie shop is the famous Sheffield Pie Shop!
